CLASSROOM GUIDELINES
1. Be Responsible
* Be on time to class
* Bring supplies
* Enter classroom quietly
* Do First Tasks immediately
* Use Time Tracker daily
* Turn homework in on time (including absent work)
* Follow instructions and class rules
* Be honest (admit mistakes, no cheating, etc.)
* Clean up after yourself; don’t leave things behind
2. Always Try
* Stay focused and on task
* Ask questions if you don’t understand
* Participate in class, even if you’re unsure about your answer (make educated guesses)
* Complete the entire assignment (even the difficult questions)
3. Do Your Best
* Put in your best effort, no matter what
* Take your time on assignments (no rushing/sloppy work)
* Double-check/proofread your work
* Avoid side conversations and other distractions
* Study throughout the week
4. Cooperate with Others
* Participate in discussions (share your ideas)
* Actively listen to others (eye contact, focus on speaker, nod)
* Let others talk without interrupting
* Encourage, support, and help others
* Share the workload equally (do your part)
* Disagree respectfully (talk it out; try to compromise
5. Treat Others with Respect (incl. yourself)
* Raise hand to speak
* Avoid bullying, put-downs, and name-calling
* Use appropriate language and noise levels in class
* Keep body parts to yourself
* Respect others’ ideas, opinions, beliefs, & feelings
* Use your manners (be kind and polite)
* Give positive feedback/comments to others
* Keep our classroom physically and emotionally safe
